The Magnolia Classic

Mahjong Tournament

March 13 & 14
Peel Museum & Botanical Garden
Bentonville, AR

Our Event

Over two thoughtfully designed days, we’ll gather around the mahjong table for social open play and a one-day mini-tournament—celebrating connection, friendly competition, and the simple joy of coming together.

Hosted at the historic Peel Mansion & Botanical Gardens, this weekend reflects our belief that Northwest Arkansas is not just discovering mahjong, but embracing it. Rooted in community, history, and hospitality, this is our invitation to play, connect, and celebrate—friends old and new.

Our Location

The Peel Mansion & Botanical Gardens offers a timeless backdrop for our mahjong weekend, with play hosted across the Carriage House and the Conservatory.

For Mockingbird & Magnolia, the space represents both Bentonville’s rich history and a personal milestone for one of our co-founders - making it an especially meaningful place to gather, play, and welcome our community.

Built in 1871, the Peel Mansion is a landmark of Bentonville history, blending Italianate architecture with gardens that have welcomed generations of gatherings and celebrations.

This is how we are imagining the Carriage House (thanks to AI) for the weekend set up.

Located close to Downtown Bentonville with easy access to art museums, restaurants and shops. Check out Downtown Bentonville, Inc. and Visit Bentonville on ideas to round out your weekend.
